I am currently in school to get my AA in Medical Office Management. I decided back in November 2012 that I was tired of not being in school and that I actually missed going to school lol. I decided since that I had just started working at Fred Meyer that I would need to go to school online so I could still work my regular hours at work and go to school at the same time. One day when I was watching TV one of those silly commercials with the girls who are singing about wanting to find something better with their lives came on, so I decided to check out the website to see if it actually worked. Within minutes of filling out the needed information, I got a call from Kaplan University and University of Phoenix. My friend had a really bad experience with University of Phoenix, so I went with Kaplan University. My first adviser was the best and I wish I still had her. She helped me out so much getting signed up for school, getting all the paperwork together for me to complete my application. She helped me out with the test to get into the school and getting financial aid so I could go to school. Since I work at Fred Meyer, I can get a discount for tuition at the school. But if I wanted to do that I would have to go to a different adviser, she was a totally different person than my first adviser. She was rude about everything and was not a lot of help either. Once it was time to sign up for classes, I finally got a new adviser and this time it was a guy and he has been very helpful so far. I started my first set of classes on January 2nd, 2013. My first classes were College Composition I and Introduction to Health Sciences. They were actually fun classes and for once I actually enjoyed being in school. I got a 4.0 in both classes and due to that I made the President's List. I have never in my life even been on the honor roll. I was so proud of myself for getting that far. My 2nd term in school was even better, I enjoyed going to my seminars each week and I was meeting people from my last term classes. My 2nd term I took Medical Terminology and Survey of Mathematics. My teacher for my math class didn't really grade fairly but I loved my Medical Terminology teacher. It was the third time I took Medical Terminology, the first two times I took it, I didn't make it past the third week. My final grades for my classes were a 92% in Math and a 97% in Medical Terminology. And this time I made Dean's List! I am currently in my 3rd term in school, I am taking College Composition II and Anatomy and Physiology I. So far I am still in the high 90's in both classes :) I keep you all updated!
Here's all the classes I will be taking for my degree :)
